How to Plan a safe trip to Egypt ?
Like anywhere you go in the world, including the town or countryside where you live, you use common sense and do everything here to protect yourself that you would do at home.
Things to do:
- Plan your trip before you go.
- Book trusted, recommended hotels, guides and transfers BEFORE you leave home.
- Having booked people you trust, take their advice on what to do, what not to do, where to go and where not to go.
- Travel with a minimum of cash – put it in your credit or bank card account before leaving home and take it out as you need it
- It’s that simple – Research, plan, prepare and book
Things NOT to do:
- DON’T go looking for excitement in the middle of a demonstration, you keep away from that area.
- Don’t arrive in Egypt thinking it is easy to find a hotel, guide etc – it is, but what do you know about them?
- Don’t go walking along the Corniche in Luxor alone at night because it is the worst place for hassle from vendors.
- Don’t wander around darkened back streets at anytime – there is no need to because most of Egypt is light up like a christmas tree after sunset.
- Don’t go off the beaten track looking for the ‘hidden Egypt’. Anything worth seeing is not ‘hidden’!
- Don’t listen to strangers who say “Follow me to or they try to open any Conversation
